Alexia was born in Athens, Greece. She graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where she studied at the School of Fine Arts. Since 1997, she has been living and working as a jewelry designer-artist in Athens. Her inspiration comes from a family jewelry studio that has been a part of the jewelry world for over 40 years, which led her to learn the techniques of traditional Greek jewelry. She has a passion for traveling, art, animals, nature, and the everlasting Greek Light.
**Projects**
- **2001**: Created a small sculpture as an award for distinguished writer and journalist Nikos Kantzogiannis of “The New York Times” for his contributions to the Greek region of Thesprotia.
- **2000**: Designed a small sculpture that was given as a gift to the Prime Minister of Greece, Georgios Papandreou, and the Prime Minister of Turkey, Ismail Cem, to promote Greek-Turkish friendship and peace.
- **2000**: Crafted a small sculpture as a decorative piece for architect D. Talaganis, which was awarded at The International High Jump Meeting (golden kotinos).
- **1999**: Created small sculptures that adorned the “Disc of Truce,” designed by architect-painter D. Talaganis, which was gifted to President Bill Clinton upon his arrival in Athens by Greek Olympic gold medalist Voula Patoulidou. The same piece was also presented to King Juan Carlos of Spain.
Alexia collaborates with retail shops both in Greece and internationally, as well as with museums and galleries.
